Coupled with the year-round warm weather of this area, you’ll find every round of golf on Florida’s Sports Coast is both challenging and enjoyable.
SADDLEBROOK
Home to two of Florida’s Sports Coast’s most picturesque and playable courses, Saddlebrook is a well-known destination for world-class golf. Both courses were designed by golf legend Arnold Palmer and feature rolling fairways, well-maintained greens and wilderness areas full of cypress, pine and palm trees.
Contoured to resemble a rolling New England course, the 6,641-yard Palmer Golf Couse is a Par-71 masterpiece without equal. Here, you’ll find generous driving areas and TifEagle greens that are firm, fast and undulating. Facing the green from the slanting fairways, the small elevated emerald islands are framed by white-faced bunkers, azure ponds and gently swaying palm trees. On this course, some holes require strength, but all reward finesse.
The Saddlebrook Golf Couse is 6,480 yards of unparalleled golf surrounded by cypress and oak trees. On this beautiful Par-70 course, you’ll find emerald-ribbon fairways, white-faced bunkers, lush greens and low hanging Spanish moss. Don’t miss out on this amazing course, the 425-yard signature hole (the 18th hole) is famously tricky, and you’ll want to tell this golfing story for years to come.
LAKE JOVITA GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB
Designed by US Open Champion Tom Lehman and golf course architect Kurt Sandness, the 220-acre Lake Jovita South Course takes full advantage of the unique hilly terrain to create a course that is professional tour quality in every sense. A Par-72 course, you’ll enjoy generous fairways, velvet greens, and immaculate course conditions. Also, the 11th hole features a 94-foot drop from tee to green—the largest natural elevation change in the state of Florida!
The 263-acre Lake Jovita North Course is equally impressive. A little more contemporary in style, this Par-72 course has even greater elaevation changes than the South Course. In fact, from the second tee box, you can see five or six miles to the northeast! A delight to play, you don’t want to miss out on this course’s beautiful fairways, soft greens, and challenging layouts.
FOX HOLLOW GOLF CLUB
One of Robert Trent Jones Sr.’s last designs, Fox Hollow Golf Club is a masterpiece Par-71 course. Featuring Sea Dwarf, Seashore Paspalum greens, rolling fairways, and large white-sand bunkers, this 7,079-yard course provides a true test for golfers of all skill levels. Complete with a grass driving range with over 25 hitting stations, a chipping green with a practice bunker, and a 10,800 square foot practice green, it’s easy to see why this is an unrivaled Florida golf course.
